Introduction to Trauma-Informed Life Story Work
Trauma-informed Life Story Work is an approach designed to help children and young people articulate their experiences in a way that is sensitive to their developmental stages and trauma history. This training equips participants with the skills to communicate life stories effectively while fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Training Objectives:
1. Understanding Developmental Stages:

Learn how to present a child's or young person's life story in a manner that is age-appropriate and resonates with their current emotional and cognitive developmental stage.
2. Creating Tailored Timelines and Methods:

Develop effective and sensitive methodologies for constructing timelines that reflect individual experiences.

Equip yourself with tools that cater specifically to trauma-informed practices in life story work.
3. Recognising the "Gift of Why":

Delve into the significance of the "gift of why" — the process of identifying and articulating the needs and concerns of children and young people throughout their life story journey.

Learn how to support children in exploring their stories and understanding their context, promoting healing and resilience.
